On Thursday morning, a major fire broke out in the record room on the third floor of Rohini District Court Complex.
According to the media report, the fire broke out at around 9:30 am in the record room from where it subsequently extended to other rooms. As per the fire officials, no casualties have been reported so far but many files have been destroyed in the fire. As the fire department brought the situation under control, the court officials have been directed to assess the situation in the said court premises.
A call about the fire was received around 9:41 am after which 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, said by Atul Garg, who is the Director of Delhi Fire Service.
The cause of fire is being ascertained. Reasons for the fire was yet not known.
The official said, there was no immediate injuries or casualties was reported.
Earlier, in March 2019 fire broke out inside the canteen on the twelfth floor of the lawyer’s chamber of the Rohini District Court Complex. The file was reportedly caused by a short circuit.
