INTERIM ORDERS BY DELHI HIGH COURT AND SUBORDINATE COURTS EXTENDED TILL 15TH JULY

Three Judge Bench of Chief Justice DN Patel, Justices Siddharth Mridul and Talwat Singh passed an ordered that all Interim Orders passed by High Court and its subordinate courts, which were subsisting and are likely to expire or have already expired on 15th June 2020, will automatically extended till 15th July,2020 or until next orders (Court on its own motion vs. State: Re Extension of Interim orders), in the view of the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic in Delhi.

The High Court had passed an order extending the time of interim orders on 25th March, which were subsisting as on 16th March and were likely to expire or had already expired, till 15th May,2020.

Subsequently, as the orders on suspended functioning of court continued, the time of interim orders was extended till 15th June 2020.

Recently, the court had suspended the court’s functioning till 30th June,2020. Therefore, the court has took up the issue of extension of interim orders and ordered,

“….we hereby further extend the implementation of the directions contained in our order dated 25th March,2020 and 15th May,2020 till 15th July,2020 with the same terms and conditions. “

The next date of hearing is 13th July,2020.
